Happy the husband is home
No need to go into detail, but the visit to the ER turned into an overnight stay. The tests so far have ruled out anything serious, and he seems fairly normal to the naked eye. So it’s nice to have him out of that ever-so-comfy hospital bed and back onto the couch. Because now he claims he’s catching the flu. Good thing my immune system has been in decent shape this winter!
Happy that Nancy was spontaneous
My friend Nancy invited herself and her son Sam over tonight. We didn’t have any plans, so, yeah…it worked. Better yet, she volunteered to augment my mac ‘n cheese dinner with a rotisserie chicken, a salad and a bottle of wine. Who wouldn’t want a friend like that to come over???

It seems like a lot of things have been breaking around my house lately. Several drinking glasses went SMASH so I bought a set of cheap and seemingly sturdy Anchor Hocking glasses from Target and now I’m down like three of those. I used to have eight green plates.
